The Essex Parish Map
The Essex Parish Map is more than a just a map showing the location of the parishes within the County of Essex.
Clicking on a parish on the map will open the Parish Information window for that parish. This can also be opened by selecting a parish from the drop down list and then clicking the 'Show Parish' button.
Non Members will be able to see details of the churches, Burial Sites and War Memorial Locations in that Parish including a photograph of each site if we have one.
Members can see even more detail including a map showing the whereabouts of the Parish church and information about the parish and some of the places to be found within it including the location of some places no longer extant.
Pictures of the churches and War memorials can be downloaded to your computer.
To get to this mine of information select "Parish Map" from the Services Menu in the black bar at the top of the page (If you are a member log in to the members area first).
Select a Parish (see above) to open the Parish Information Window then click the "Show Church Page" button below the thumbnail of the Church or War memorial in which you are interested.
A full screen picture of the Church or War Memorial is revealed together with details of the number of Christenings, Marriages, Burials and MI records that are held in our database for this site.
Please be patient for the download which takes about 9 or 10 seconds. This is because the number of records is calculated each time to give an up to the minute number as new or additional church records are being regularly added to the database.
