Our Computer Group was
formed in March 1993 following a preliminary meeting which was held to ascertain
whether a demand for such a facility existed. Over 70 members of the Society
attended this meeting and there was an overwhelming vote in favour of setting up
a Group.
Meetings commence at 10.30 am. Computer Group meetings are held on the same day as the monthly Saturday afternoon meeting at Chelmsford, which is normally the third Saturday in the month.
We try to arrange a varied
programme to suit all our members with the overall objective of assisting and
educating members to make the best use of their computers in researching their
Family Histories.
All members are very welcome to attend our meetings.
We especially offer a warm
welcome to those overseas members who are visiting the UK. We would like
particularly to welcome more of you to Essex. If you are thinking of visiting us
please send an e-mail in advance so that we can make sure your visit is
worthwhile.
